SaReel Project ~ Worldology , 2006
~ This is our more ambitious follow-up disc to the self-titled SaReel Project. Sasha and I recruited fellow composers Bob Nasta and Peter Hadley to help us fill out the sound and to add more instrumental flexibility to the group. The pieces still rely heavily on the incorporation of world-music influences and modern composing techniques; yet there is still a flavor or accessibility in all of the songs. One intersesting note is that PowJamPop will probably never be performed live again due to the fact that the flowerpot instrument that piece is centered around got accidentally run over and many of the flowerpots were broken. Music is an impermanent medium.

Reviews ~
"... the compositions in and of themselves are fairly interesting, and the quartet’s playing right on mark." -Robert Kaye, World Music Today

"I liked this kitchen sink approach to world culture, performed effortlessly by these Connecticut natives. The music is most linked to the Indian subcontinent, but I hear influences from everywhere." - Brian Grosjean, host of Sunday morning FM On Toast
